Columbia’s Lab-to-Market Life Science Accelerators help translate innovative therapeutic and medical device research into real-world applications by providing funding, mentorship, and training to faculty-led teams. The BiomedX program focused specifically on medical devices, diagnostics, platform technologies, and software with direct health impacts. Over nine weeks, we participated in a weekly bootcamp that offered frameworks and tools to navigate the translation process from lab to clinic. The program culminated in BiomedX Pitch Day, where finalist teams presented their medtech concepts and business opportunities to a panel of judges for potential funding.
